The shiny coloring/coating on these boots began to blister and flake and tear off after about a dozen wearings. She began wearing them about 2 weeks ago and they are already bordering on unpresentable. Acceptable for play wear but not if she needs to look "nice." Too bad I can't return them now. This is about the 4th time we've ordered similar style Kenneth Cole boots. First time we had this problem, although some close friends did have that problem with their pair. So, averaging about 2/6 pairs will have the blistering problem. We like this style because it's the closest we can get to a minimalist (large toe box, soft sole, minimal heel height) yet attractive style for a pre-teen. She does find them comfortable in general, but the heel on this pair does feel more "clunky" to her than other Kenneth Cole styles have previously.

Received this item quickly. I love the look! The color is right, the heel height is perfect, and the leather feels soft but durable. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the length of the shaft. I thought it would be okay but it turned out it's still a tad too long for me so it's a little uncomfortable near the knee area. I think girls who are under 5'4" should think twice before getting it. I was so looking forward to wear this during this winter holidays but was very disappointed that I had to return it.
