A few days ago I was woken up at 1am by this disturbing moaning sound coming from outside. At first I thought it was perhaps people having sex, but the more I listened to it it sounded like it was coming from outside. It didn't sound muffled as it was if it were coming from inside someone's house. The better I payed attention to it, it sounded like a woman in distress. It was continuous for about three minutes, then it stopped and I would randomly hear a moan for the next couple minutes.
