Montreal Man Yells At Muslim Woman On The STM Bus For Wearing Headscarf

On the afternoon of August 28th, along the route of bus 69, a very real example of support for the PQ’s Charter of Values was documented. For simply entering the bus while wearing a headscarf, a Muslim woman was verbally abused by a fellow passenger, and told to remove the headscarf or return to her home country. The woman in question did not sit idly by to such remarks, and a five to ten minute argument ensued, with both persons making strong remarks. Check out the video below for documented coverage.
Most surprising, other than the man’s blatant cultural intolerance and racism, is his reference to Pauline Marois and the PQ before the Charter of Values was released to the public. Marois had already made comments in the Journal de Montreal, and it seems that was enough to gain public support from certain individuals. For those wondering who would support the Charter of Values in such a liberal-minded city like Montreal, you now have a real world example.
Equally shocking and saddening is the fact that no one else on the bus intervened to calm the situation or defend the Muslim woman. Aside from a feigned ‘shut up’ by another passenger, and someone filming the video (who wishes to remain anonymous), no action was taken.
What do you think of the video? Would you have reacted differently and intervened? Which person was in the right? Let us know in the comments below.
“I Want a Man to Touch Me, Not a Woman,” Muslim Train Bomber Yells in Court
Considering where train bomb plotter Chiheb Esseghaier is headed, you would think that he wouldn’t be that eager. But I don’t think we have any right to pass judgement on his religious heritage and sexual orientation .
The outburst from Chiheb Esseghaier, who has repeatedly used court as a platform to espouse his religious views, came toward the end of the hearing, as the female officer moved toward the prisoner’s box to handcuff him.
“You are not my wife,” barked Mr. Esseghaier, clad in an orange prison jumpsuit and with a bushy black beard. “I want a man to touch me, not a woman. She is not my wife.”
A male officer was already in the room to escort his co-accused, Raed Jaser, back to his cell; in response to Mr. Esseghaier’s complaint, the male and female officers switched places. Mr. Jaser did not raise an issue.
“I don’t accept other reference, only the holy Koran… The Criminal Code is not perfect; only [the Koran] is perfect,” Mr. Esseghaier said in a rambling and repetitive answer to Justice Ian Nordheimer’s question on whether he was continuing to seek counsel.
Clearly it’s not perfect if it panders to a cretin like Chiheb.

No I don't. That is not the reason Muslim women don't marry non muslim men. The father is seen as the one to guide children in faith, we want Muslim fathers for our children. Muslim men are only permitted to marry women of the book IF they agree there children will be raised Muslim if they cant then they cannot marry Jewish or Christian women either. A muslim women who married a Jewish man, seriously you think he would let his children be raised Muslim? Not a chance.
Allah knows why he has revealed these things and we as submitters to the will of Allah trust in his word.
You got a problem with what he reveals take it up with him. We are more, more than happy with our wonderful Muslim husbands.
Muslim school threats: Man armed with knife allegedly yells abuse at Al-Faisal College in Minto
Parents of students at a Sydney Islamic college say they are scared for their children's safety after a man took a knife onto the school grounds and made threats yesterday afternoon.
Security has been tightened at Al-Faisal College at Minto, in Sydney's south-west, and police patrolled the school's perimeter as parents dropped children off this morning.
The man allegedly took a knife onto the college grounds and asked, "is this a Muslim school?"
Officers would not comment on what the man said, but Islamophobia Register Australia spokeswoman Mariam Veiszadeh said parents had told her the man had asked a staff member if the college was a Muslim school.
"It was only at that stage that he continued to make threats," she said.
"He was verbally abusive, yelling and saying all sorts of things."
Students and teachers were at the school, which does not follow the public school holiday schedule.
Ms Veiszadeh said a student who witnessed the incident ran into a prayer hall, "absolutely hysterical and hyperventilating", to alert staff and students to the intruder.
"I also understand that at some stage there was an announcement made over the PA system to instruct everybody to ensure the school went into lockdown," she said.
This morning the school gates were chained and padlocked and a security guard was on duty.
Salma Koya, who has four grandchildren at the school, said the community was facing "terrible times", but she did not want the children to miss class because of the incident.
"They have to be brave, they have to trust in God, in Allah, and just come to school and be their normal selves," she said.
"I don't want them to feel they are scared to come to school."
Farah Hannah, who has four children at the school, said she does not feel safe.
"[I feel] very scared, like it's not safe here anymore," she said.
Saida Hayder, who lives across the road, said she was frightened after hearing the news last night.
"I was looking at the internet and discussing with my husband and we found it really scary."
Inspector Robert Monaghan from Macquarie Fields Police said he could not comment on what the man said.
"We were told that a man entered the premises there with a knife," he said.
"The man spoke with a female staff member at the location and he left a short time later and was last seen along Kitson Road.
"We searched the area without success."
The man was described as of Pacific Islander appearance, 20 to 25 years old and obese.
He was wearing brown or khaki pants and a green shirt.
The college, established in 1998, is an independent co-educational school with students from kindergarten to Year 12.
Earlier this week, a man, 18, and a boy, 14, were charged with yelling threatening comments at a Sydney Christian school while holding an Islamic flag.
Police allege the pair shouted anti-Christian comments from a car outside the Maronite College of the Holy Family in Harris Park last week.
